Pit 3 Dam

Pit 3 Dam

Pit 3 Dam is located on the Pit River in Northern California, northeast of the City of Redding and about nine miles north of the town of Burney. The dam empounds Lake Britton. Three 84-foot wide spillway bays span the crest, and were originally fitted with flashboards to control the flow over the spillways. In 1988, the flashboards were replaced with inflatable rubber bladder gates. The bladder gates were nearing their usable life and had deteriorated over time.

The project scope consisted of replacing the existing deteriorated rubber bladder gates, as well as the embedded air supply pipes and associated controls, in-kind.
