Pacific Tunnel Rehabilitation
Pacific Tunnel is a component of the El Dorado Canal, a vital part of El Dorado Irrigation District’s Project 184 system. The system conveys water that provides essential public services, including hydroelectric power production and drinking water supply.
The rehabilitation work comprised constructing a reinforced concrete invert and placing shotcrete on the walls and crown along the entire 180+ foot length of the tunnel. The project also involved improving construction access to the tunnel.
